amazon to lockheed martin
What level does L5 SDE 2 translate to for lockheed martin? Is it senior or staff? I have 5.5 YOE and am close to SDE 3 (needing 1 more project from what manager says)

Pay is going to be cut by more than half going from big tech to defense. But, 5 years would be Level 3 there.

Since you are coming from Amazon you could try to negotiate level 4. Big Defense like Lockheed, Northrop, etc. care a lot about years of experience though. If you have any education past bachelors they count that as extra YOE.

Level 3 at best. I went from Amazon to LM (non-tech) as an L6 at Amazon and am a Level 3 at LM.
