Hello , wondering if there has been layoffs at consulting companies due to covid 19? i assume lot of folks are on the bench .
Offers rescinded and new hiring paused. Also don’t lump Cognizant in with the others, they are a shitty outsourcer and not a consultancy. Source: I also work for a shitty outsourcer.
Cts isn't any better or worse than the others in the list (for tech roles).
Actually yes it is a lot worse. “Talent” simply isn’t there. Big 4 has always attracted better technical staff because they pay better. Cognizant et al are just shell companies for H1B visa abuse.
🤔
Nothing heard so far
Lol cognizant with Bcg and Mck ...
Did you just group cognizant with BCG and Bain ? Woah 😂
You should be more “cognizant” of the standards and groupings. Its good you dint include TCS, Wipro, etc.
Why did you group Bain with McKinsey? Everyone knows which one is best according to the partners
Luckily you didn’t group Tech Mahindra and HCL with BCG ....
I think we can all agree that the grouping of companies by OP is bizarre/shows lack of understanding of the industry. But to be concise on answering OPs question: Big 3- MBB, hiring frozen until year end. Big 4- EY, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, hiring frozen and some offers rescinded. Partners giving up salary to keep the firm afloat. No layoffs yet but job security only guaranteed through Q2. Reduced/no bonus pool. Big SI- Accenture, IBM. No clarity. Hiring largely frozen. Legacy outsourcing contracts will keep them afloat for a while but the bureaucracy will cave at some point. Note that combined these 2 companies employ around 800,000 people. WITCH- India Pure Plays. Normally lots of churn. As customers fold, jobs will be cut. The bureaucracy will cave too. Smaller companies/boutiques/shell businesses- these are the cockroaches of the industry. Never make much business but never fold. Good luck to all.
Have seen offers rescinded, specifically new grad
