I am invited for the onsite interview from Microsoft. guys at MSFT, what is the appropriate dress code for principal level of UX dept. or design dept.? too traditional black suit looking is bad or boring?
Seriously? OP wear business formals. Suit plus tie.
No suit or tie.
Huh? No suit and tie.
Full on suit, tie and vest. White shirt. Nice wristwatch. Cuff links. Maybe a bow tie? Go all out!
I was rejected because I was missing the bow tie. My all interview feedback was super positive. The recruiter gifted me one during the feedback round. I still curse myself for forgetting such a critical piece.
Business casual
Wear what you're comfortable with and will do well in. Your interviewers won't care really what you wear.
Be yourself, whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. I honestly don't care what someone wears to an interview. So do you, I wore jeans and a Hawaiian shirt one time and my last internal interview was a pocket t-shirt and shorts....
I would suggest business formal without tie.
If you wana match with your interviewer, oldest hoodie in your closet
Black turtle neck sweater, average looking pair of jeans, and some cheap tennis shoes is the winning combination at Microsoft.
Do not wear a suit, trousers and a nice shirt is more than enough.
Dress shirt and slacks. No tie, suit jacket if u really want but I personally wouldn’t. Good luck! Just my 2 cents
