Anyone on blind works for message bird ? #tech #Amsterdam #messagebird
My current is 95k and the offer is 125k
125k is only the base salary? Did they offer stock options too? Is it for Senior or Staff?
Yes. Senior and 100k$ worth stocks over 4 years
Worked there for over two years. Exciting tech and challenge. Management sucks, the CEO basically single handledly defines the whole company direction (even if it's towards an iceberg) and accepts zero feedback. People that tended to antagonize him on all-hands quickly disappeared (had their contracts not extended). The salary adjustments policy is also atrocious, in a year in which inflation will be close to 10%, they still tie salary adjustments to performance. Getting promoted also don't come with more pay, usually ("we have to make people understand that more responsibilities don't mean more pay", according to the CEO). They go big on the shares narrative, but there's people waiting for an IPO for the last 5-7 years. When I left, the FMV was lower than my strike price, so... Yeah. Just join MB for a really good salary (and be ready to be happy about it for at least 2 years) or if you want their name on your resume.
Thanks for the feedback. Really helps
Hi all...a recruiter from MB Amsterdam reached out to me via LinkedIn for a PM role. Relocating to the EU will be a big step but I'm open to it for the right company & role. However, glassdoor reviews are quite scary! Any info on/from the PM side of life and culture at the Bird? TIA ๐๐ผ
The reviews are unfortunately accurate.
Thank you for the confirmation. Any info on the PM situation? Is there a high churn among PMs in MB?
