Growing up and even after graduation I believed life would be easy and simple once I have some money. Now I have some But with each passing year it’s becoming more n more unbearable. Visited India last year and many of my cousins looked so content and at peace with what they have. On paper I have much more then but every Friday I feel how this can be the last week I work. Was this money making grind always a trap? #burnout #depression #mentalhealth

Ways to reduce stress immediately
You just need much more money. When you have nothing of course everything is simple.
I’m also a slave to the people and things in my life. Was never able to understand the wisdom of Thoreau until it was too late.
I think this romanticization of others life should stop. They think you have better life, you think they have better life. Honestly, every is going through amazing times and shitty times its never absolute one or the other. Find what makes you happy do that more.
What if you feel the comparison is with your past self. you were happy before ambitions took over and now there’s no going back.
I think that's just reminiscing old days. My theory on this is that time was the best for that age, era and environment If I wouldn't have done anything things would have probably stayed as they were but I would have a regret of missing opportunities/not reaching my full potential. And since I choose a different path, things have changed and now I miss good old days. You what I am seeing, grass is greener on the other side. If you still think the old days were wayyyyy better, make a change (in this case, if you think moving to India is gonna make you happy, do it! ) Btw, in India making friends and having social life is easier than the US, not doubt but India has its own problems and have changed a lot since you might have grown up (I stayed for 2 months recently)
The goalpost keeps moving and along with that lifestyle upgrades. Even millionaires complain about living on the edge yet most people are hoping for just a million and think life will be different. If you can't practice contentment, it will always be like this
Mo money mo problems

Agar 1M save ho gaya hai, to swades nikal liyo.
Bahut acha laga Hindi padhke. Hindi bolne ni milta bc
Hindi ka to theek hai, kitna bachaaye ho abhi tak?
It is, you just don’t have enough of it.
Then why the millionaires of blind are always crying. Or if even millions are not enough then you’re wrong
Millions are enough, but you probably need at least 20-30 million to eliminate the risk of most money related problems. Single digit millionaires are still at constant risk, so naturally there’s constant stress. What’s more, you become more aware of those risks and issues, whereas if you have no money at all, there’s no reason to even think about these things in depth so they bother you less. With a high income, you also get used to a lifestyle that cannot be sustained without continuing the grind, unless you already have all those millions. The vast majority of millionaires on Blind don’t have 20 mil.
Yes. Mortgage is another trap. The system is designed to keep you in the workforce.
Yeah man. Tell me about it. Don’t know why but Growing up I was always against buying a house. Specially on mortgage. I use to have debates about how terrible is that as an idea to be in debt for decades. But then I got married and caved in to wife’s and societal pressure.
Most of us want a home even though mortgage is a trap. This is why the system works.
