Oracle/Cerner and Optum Referrals
Hi! Looking for anyone who can help me out with referrals. I have 5+ years experience specifically in the healthcare payer/provider space, in product management and healthcare consulting. I see jobs recently listed though? Maybe it’s one of those not-actually-a-job jobs. Sigh.
I would only recommend asking for referral for here if you hate yourself or want one for your worst enemy. As I understand it's now a 1-6 month process with a chance to get revoked up to your start date. Oracle's low salaries are a step up(2-3x) from Cerner's. Not sure which you'll be offered, but probably Cerner's. Once you start, it is a lottery if you're in the monthly layoffs. Not even sure we'll have a consulting org by eoy.
That sounds pretty bleak. I have heard from former coworkers (that were ex-Cerner) that they don’t pay well, but that was 5 years ago so was hoping that had changed.
Yeah, Oracle hasn't improved anything and things are surprisingly worse.
