if you were fired for any reason (behavioral, performance etc. ), how hard or easy was it for you to bounce back and get a new job? were you able to use your old company as a reference?

Not at all. Anyone worth their salt has faced at least one layoff in a career more than 15 years. And companies don’t disclose that you were fired - they will pay severance and have you sign an agreement that will usually say that they will confirm only your title and dates worked
Can’t relate, never been fired.
Got a referral from a friend and did well in interview. They did not check my references.
No one freaking checks references
Did you even give it to them in the first place? Or they didn’t ask at all?
