Teladoc too risky?
Is it too risky to join Teladoc right now? TC 205k #teladoc

Looking for something more fulfilling and I am also interested in teleheath space. I’m just a bit worried with stock dropping - do you think it is too risky to join during this time?
Not sure which position you applied. I am in DS side. Most people I knew are already gone😂 data quality is not good here. Layoff wise, I won’t worry much.

There’s really no point in moving from Meta to Teladoc. Sure, it checks the “fulfilling, good wlb” boxes, but if you’re worried about the stock dropping even more than it has, you obviously care about money, so you’d never entertain the offer they give you. I dunno, you could get hired as a tech lead, but that’s still senior as far as TC goes. You’d probably need to be director there to get the TC worth leaving Meta. DM if you like. But, that said, no it’s especially not risky now, in my totally biased opinion.

Your TC is low for Meta. Teladoc can definitely offer you a lot more at Senior level. We are still hiring and business is going well. I won’t worry about lay offs or rescind offers. WLB and quality of work is good. Make sure join a good team. DM me if you have any questions.

I worked at Teladoc for just shy of a year and wouldn’t recommend it. Lots of great coworkers but depending on the team the WLB was terrible. They still haven’t figured out remote work and overburden folks with too many meetings and no time to work so you end up working super long draining days. Everyone on my team has left for better comp and WLB
