Logmein layoffs!?
Hey guys, heard LogmeIn is laying off 300 employees this week! Is this true? which departments are affected?

This happened last week. Engineering was one of the hardest hit.
It is true. Engineers from Santa Barbara, San Francisco, New Jersey, Utah and Boston were laid off.
GoToMeeting was the bread and butter of the company. They laid off huge chunk from those teams too. Webinar has moved to India. Supposedly new product called GOToconnect made more money in an year compared to GOToMeeting. So these guys have taken this brutal action towards the whole road map. Sant Barbara was the main centre for GotoMeeting and Webinar. Targeting this location definitely show no one cares. High management are the dumbest people I have ever known in my life. Very bad decision and I am almost certain that they gonna regret it.
