can i make a career change without an MBA. is the cost of an MBA worth it?
Depends on what you want. Top 10 programs are worth it more than others. If you want to do top consulting that’s the easiest way in
Waste of money unless youre going to Harvard Stanford or MIT
I disagree, top 10 names carry weight and have opportunities at the best companies. If you’re going there and don’t know what you want out of it then it’s a complete waste of time
I agree. Know the outcome you want before you accept an offer of admission to an MBA program.
Even tho it’s called master of business administration, people won’t call you master rickyrubio after. Total ripoff
Why on earth should I convince you...if I can convince you not to pursue then some one else later can convince you otherwise! Get some own opinion dude. Agree if u even ask some specific question.
Go to a top place, like in top 5. It’s gets worthless very fast after that
No, I went to top 100. Still employed and make plenty
I m sure you are going well. What was the median outcome of the place you went to ?
TC or GTFO But seriously important input to this process
If you are not an engineer and TC is already 160K, where exactly do you think MBA will get you?
Well i want to get into consulting but by the time i would be a consultant ill be in my early 30s. I obviously want to settle down at some point so im really in a flux
Don’t let that push you away. I know people who just started in consulting after their Mba and have a newborn. You obviously have to make it work and put in extra effort on the personal side of things, but I disagree that consulting is too busy to settle down.
Speak for?
Depends what the career change is
Yes, by pursuing a specialized master's
