I’m also asking because it seems like there’s more DE jobs and developer jobs available than DS jobs. My background is in economics. Both bachelors and masters in it. I have worked as a data analyst running segmentations in SAS and SQL. I’ve also worked with alteryx building my own workflow as well as maintaining and improving the current workflow. The workflow pulls from sql and then goes into PowerBi and then I communicated with stakeholders about the results. Also learned some Python skills on my own. Recently got an azure certification DP-900 and AI-900. Now I’m debating if I should go for DP-100 (the data scientist path) or the DP-203 Data Engineer path. TC: $95k (yeah I know. It’s shit money) Location: Midwest
Anything, get that TC and experience up
Haha I’m trying 😅. Why do you think I’m trying get advice. I see y’all tech guys getting $300k like it’s nothing
DE is easier to find a job right now.
😂😂 well I am a BIPOC so I guess I could do that lol
Do both?
Which should i start first?
Whichever you are most likely to succeed at and pursue. Python should become your primary language.
