Hello, I'm preparing for an interview at Databricks, and I find myself a bit perplexed by the distinction between two interview types. As far as I understand, the architecture interview (ARCH) primarily delves into high-level system design questions, such as "how to design YouTube". It often involves using a whiteboard to illustrate your ideas. What's causing my confusion is the system design interview (SYS). It appears to entail writing pseudo code, discussing topics like single/multi-threading, and is entirely conducted within a text editor. I have a couple of questions: 1. What exactly is the objective of the system design interview? How does it differ from the architecture interview? Is the system design interview intended to evaluate one's object-oriented programming (OOP) design capabilities? 2. Would anyone be willing to provide some examples of system design questions for clarification? Thank you! #databricks #interviews #swe
