We onboarded 3 new full timers this week at Earnest. We just posted 3 internship opportunities ( probably remote due to covid, in office if possibleđ¤) https://www.earnest.com/careers#/overview
Hiring more doesnât mean you canât lay-off immediately.
Sure, CA is an at-will state. Even if executives promise no lay offs , employer or employee can terminate contract at any point for any reason. That being said, our leadership team is bullish on growth despite broader market conditions.
Not started, no plan to
you guys still have sales? seems consumer spending sentiment quite low.
Sounds like SoFi is still hiring with no plans of layoffs
Fintech will be fine
Kabbage which is a small business lending company had layoffs
The downturn was always expected to blow out all the low quality fintechs (especially the lending ones) out of the water... without banking licenses most are borrowing money to lend money to then hopefully securitize afterwards which is risky af all the way down. Noto knew this as a banker which is why weâve been focusing so much on shoring up the loan biz and diversifying into other areas. So far no layoffs and still hiring. If we can be one of the fintechs that pulls through this though (which imo we will), I think the products we are now building will help us dominate on the other side... as long as youâre prepared, every crisis always brings opportunity with it
What is Noto?

My offer from lendingclub was rescinded last week. I donât think itâs just mine.
Lending club has been dying a slow death regardless tbh
How is it at Earnin? Other than the layoffs, I mean
Marqeta hired 15 people last week. ~350 employees total.
No layoffs at Credit Karma.
CK is the best fintech
