does citadel care about college name for experienced devs
3yoe, but 1 as sde, 2 as tech consultant (not very relevant). tc 170. I'm interested in working for hedge fund and/or finance companies like citadel and jane street cuz of $$. I think my background from Amazon would help and I'm p good at leetcode/math (and I can always study) but not sure if I'd pass the resume because I went to a not famous public school? bachelors, too. shitty gpa if they still ask, but I'd assume not. don't need sponsorship if that matters.

How were you able to secure an interview? Did you have some unique background in a specialty eng field?
I'm think Jane Street weighs heavily into the behavioral parts of the application in order to determine if you get an interview.
Citadel and Citadel securities both asked me for my GPA with 3+ YOE and rejected me outright based on just that. Bachelors in CS from top 50 if that matters

DE Shaw, yes. Citadel, no. For Jane Street it looks harder to even get an interview than Citadel, unless you have much more years of experience or something unique to bring to the table. This is from personal experience.
