Hi everyone, I got a job offer from Jacob :90k TC+ relocation in Seattle. Is it a good offer for an entry level grad role ? What other companies should I target to get a better compensation
Pretty good
If you are entry level 90k is pretty good comp. Like the GSK person said you are not going to get a tech/software type TC in our industry (civil, construction). The only way to increase comp is to switch jobs every 2-3 years and get into PM. Even PM’s many times dont get a higher salary, but just better bonus if your project is successful
That’s a good starting comp for civil and Jacobs is the top dog in the industry.
I assume you mean Bellevue? 90k is definitely strong! MS grad? Your going to be hard pressed to find more than that HNTB may possibly get close (way better benefits though), HDR/WSP won’t come close either.

It's pretty good, try to move to cincinati or conshohoken they're the semiconductor / biotech hubs for jacobs not sure what industry your JE office will be involved in
My team works in Transportation sector. Thanks for your advice though. Do you know what TC is good for seattle region?
Unless you're in software, you need to stop worrying about TC, your TC will never match software. Even after 25 years experience most you can expect is 200-300k. 90k is pretty good for non software in Seattle, and since you're in transport it's not that big of an area for JE, their top priorities are aero, defense, semi, biotech etc then power / utilities and transport. You can try AECOM or ARUP in a few years for a switch.
