If something is not there today doesn’t mean it will not be tomorrow. If India can have infrastructure for IT and software then it can have for other industries too.
For IT service, all you need is computers. For real industry, you need more than that. Nope. Not gonna happen in India. Even indian people have given up on it.
You sound so hopeless 😁
Freedom is and will be the biggest success for humanity. Just consider this. Your neighbors is a happy family, where everyone is having a good time. Now you, who is a loner depressed person, gl and attack the happy family with a gun, would you call yourself more successful? more advance? more brave? No, you are are a sociopath who cannot keep your family happy and is going out to destroy others. You’re a moron.
I think the move is about cheaper labor and diversified supply chains. Infrastructure will appear if there is money to be made. We are a good banana republic.
Let the bribing begin.
Sorry to break it to Indian friends that Honhai precision is a ccp backed company. Who will manufacture electronics in a country without support from chinese supply chain? Unless that company doesn’t have that worry and need some cheaper labor lol
Nike shoes are also manufactured by companies backed by ccp. I am worried about my feet now
FWIW, some of my international friends like China and India more than the US. So, from there perspective they rather just stay/work in the there home country. I feel like people in the US think China and India are unlivable shits holes. But traveling to both (I know it’s different than living), its not bad. China is more modern and India is growing.
Being an Indian I can say that's not the general opinion. I know people including me who detest and loathe India, the racist, casteist, chauvinist culture. The US is pretty problematic as well but atleast there's a strong sense of accountability. People are murdered and called unpatriotic when holding their government accountable in India
I have been accused of being "whitewashed" "unpatriotic" and "trying to be cool" for voicing my opinions here. I've also been a target of racist slurs in the US but I also have seen that from the poor and uneducated venting so I let it pass, but in India it's the educated elite who do this because they benefit the most from the hard right government or have a false sense of patriotic duty.
China's so-called 'success' can't be copied. China literally banned all other countries' products and take advantage of zero tariff of other countries. China only imports what they can't make. Therefore, China can have it's software companies, like it's own google, it's own amazon, facebook, whatsapp, snapchat... China can steal technologies from USA, like Huawei has stolen technologies from CISCO and a whole bunch of others. China can manipulate currency rate, and can print as many as its currencies and not allow it's people to exchange for USA dollars. China can let its slaves to work 20-hour a day and no overtime pay. Can India copy that? I don't think india wants to copy that.
Huawei stole 5G from cisco. That’s why cisco doesn’t have it. China stole everything from India. That’s why India has nothing. lol
Yes, 5G is the only thing Huawei did not steal much. But 5G is based on America technologies. That's why USA does not need Huawei's 5G at all, but Huawei needs USA's technologies so badly. In USA, people don't assemble computers, don't assemble 5G devices either. Let other companies do it. Silicon valley invents infrastructure, and then let others do the labour work.
Apple has already been developing iphones in India for a while and exporting it, case in point an article from 2019 https://9to5mac.com/2019/07/11/iphone-india-exports/ Representing a significant milestone, some Apple iPhones manufactured in India are now being exported to countries in Europe for sale. The iPhone XR was already being made in India and the new iPhone SE will be poentially made in India https://indianexpress.com/article/technology/tech-news-technology/apple-iphone-se-2020-manufacturing-india-price-6470397/ This investment is linked to the new PLI scheme by Govt of India which is trying woo electronics manufacturers to set up more plants to make and export phones in India. Even the chinese company One plus has already been making and exporting phones made in India. https://tech.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/mobile/oneplus-starts-exports-of-india-made-phones/71344488
china has 9 yr free education and 99.8 literacy rate among young people. so china has maasive amount well trained skilled workers, aslo, east asia has long working hr culture. plus its supply chain. plus chinese gov is much more efficient. see how long does Tesla take to setup shanghai factory. notice that in 1950s, india has much better infra than china. dont really think india can replace easily and in short term although india has cheaper labor and younger ppl. in long term, like 30-50 yrs, india still have the chance if india has a powerful president who clean up all the internal issues
China’s success cannot be copied. India does not have the supply chain and infrastructure to support its industry.
@Modi2024 Wait what you doesn’t believe in Modi? 😁
“China’s success cannot be copied” lmao. They literally copy EVERYTHING. Plus, before judging an entire nation, work n get yourself a decent job? Or do you think success cannot be copied?
