I found myself embarking on a journey to my home country, seated on a plane surrounded by anticipation. Suddenly, an unexpected twist occurred—we were informed of a necessary plane switch, adding an element of surprise to our travels. As sleep took over, I slipped into a deeper layer of the dream, where I found myself camping in a serene park alongside a few old friends. We explored the trails with the aid of groundbreaking Google technology, offering a live, real-time overlay of our surroundings on my phone. This tech allowed us to navigate with ease, immersing us fully in the adventure. During our return to the campsite, I noticed our belongings had been subtly moved. Relief washed over me as I discovered everything remained intact. With a cautious mindset, I decided to secure my possessions back in my car, wary of potential thieves. The dream took another turn as I ‘awoke’ back on the plane. My friend woke me up saying you've been asleep for 21 hours. It dawned on me that we were traversing a part of the Earth untouched by Starlink’s reach, amplifying the sense of disconnection. Finally, I awoke from this layered dream and here I am now writing this post.
How slow did time go? 1 week per 1 minute?
It was actually almost exactly 2:1. 12 hours in the second dream and 6 hours on the plane.
Inception 😳 Fine, I’ll re-watch it.
Yeah nested dreams are common. Sometimes I have a dream of me sleeping on my bed, like the exact same thing I'm doing. I wake up from my sleep in the inner dream, and my mind thinks I've woken up in real life. It's weird how the mind works.
Yeah for me the timing was the weirdest part. Numbers don't make any sense and my 🥜 brain can't compute while I'm dreaming
TC?
Really?
dream 1 : 400k dream 2 : 400m awake : 🥜
A dream within a dream. 2 layers deep, huh? Any higher layers, you will need a sedative. Very powerful sedative formulated by only the most specialized chemist. Some say it's impossible. But I've done it. Once.
How many times have you seen it bruh?
Too many times, I've lost track if this is real life, or I'm actually asleep
This happens to me when I'm high, but the experience is of waking up from a dream into a new waking, about every two minutes
Inception? Wow OP, your writing skills are on point 👌🏼
Since you wake up inside another dream, it cannot be tail-call optimized.
How many time have you watched Inception? lol
At least 6 times. I love that movie
Now when will you wake up from this dream?
