Crossed a line with my boss
Hi. Currently working as a quality engineer role at Dexcom for next generation product manufacturing automation equipment. Found a opening position for software quality engineer at Illumina. Would like to ask for a suggestion. Is that worthy to change job? Personally prefer software QA position. #health #healthcare #illumina #dexcom
I’m sorry I’m not here to answer you’re question but wanted to say if you in any way shape or form worked on the G6 thank you. My 3 yo was diagnosed with T1D and his dexcom CGM has been life changing. THANK YOU
Well that is also the reason why I love dexcom
Awesome!!
I'm guessing your in San Diego? What is your current title? What is the Illumina title?
Yea, They are same level, engineer 2
Is this a real q? You need an offer, go for it.
Oh yea you are right. I’m just wondering if it’s worthy to apply
I worked at illumina and it’s peaked. Unless you get in a very specific dept, it’s kind of boring. Dexcom is on the up...
Agree...have worked at both. Dexcom has a brighter future than illumina IMHO
Same thought that’s why I was asking
I'd say apply and evaluate your experience and an offer if any ;)
Yea you are right. Should try first
Who and who?
dexcom and illumina
Hahah
I want to work either in Dexcom or illumina. I have been applying allot to Dexcom, but never got any interview
Same here
Btw was at Intel.. saying Hi
Ask again when you received the offer
That's funny I work at Illumina and recently got a recruiter from Dexcom reach out to my that I'm considering
What's your role?
Software engineer
I personally would bc of the giant that is illumina but heard from multiple roles that you’re pulling 50-60 hour work weeks. Depends if you think the bump in salary/etc is worth it
Yea agree. I just feel like dexcom has a promising future than illumina? Maybe I am wrong. I just evaluate it based on the stock market and the customer need. Medical device VS Research use only device. Maybe need more advice
@ddup if you think CGM and NGS have similar futures, or if you think Illumina makes only devices for research use only, you will not get the job. You don't understand the market, company, or technology.
