Can’t speak to google. But undergrad DS at FB is 115k base/20k-30k RSUs/10% bonus/40k sign-on (max). That’s the range for returning interns; I assume RSUs and sign-on may be low-end when offered and they’re not keen on negotiating unless there are competing offers, which you may have.

Thank you so much!

Are you currently a data scientist at fb?

Hey OP, I didn’t know google has a biz analyst role. I can’t seem to find it on the careers website. I’m guessing it’s a role exclusive to elite school students? :(

UC Berkeley is not elite 😆 And maybe they closed it? I found it on the career website

Hey OP, FB DS is 99% likely to pay more if that’s a big concern. Growth wise, DS is more technical and will involve future opportunities in that space.

Ty! TC isn't the biggest deal for me as long as they're both within the same range, I'm more concerned about work life balance and technologies I'll be using. For example I think Google will probably be simple SQL and not python or R,and fb would probably be more heavy data analysis than just SQL querying

I work with a few DS’s and though I don’t know the day to day, they’re seen as very valuable to the product team. A DS on my team helps to measure growth numbers (rev, profit). In general, FB WLB is probably worse than G (girlfriend works at G), but Biz analyst sounds like it might be long hours
