Our doctor and everything online says it’s fine, but we had a previously scheduled trip and just found out we’re pregnant. Has anyone done this and been fine or experienced problems :-( ? Thanks in advance.
Did you tell your doctor that Blind said it was ok? That should convince them.
Depends on what your destination is!
Generally speaking, anonymous Internet message boards are to be trusted over doctors. You've come to the right place.
4 out of 5 anonymous pretend Doctors recommend this.
Miscarriage risk is higher in the first trimester. Our doctor advised not to travel during that time to avoid dealing with a miscarriage during a long flight. Ask your doctor to clarify any of your questions.
My wife and I literally flew 1 time around the globe and she was well into her pregnancy. Let me guess, your first? And congrats!
I flew at 34 weeks and was fine. I had to get a doctors note saying I was ok to fly
If your doctor says it's fine you don't have a reason to be worried. With that said, if you don't feel comfortable. Don't do it. Every person is different and every pregnancy is different. Go with your instincts
As an expert who didn’t get to a medical school, I suggest to not do it if the woman is not comfortable with flying. You don’t want to add unnecessary stress while she’s still learning what it means to be pregnant for her body and emotional state. And stay away from people sneezing and coughing as you don’t want unnecessary exposure to viral or bacterial infection, that unfortunately spread rather quickly on the planes.
This is like asking internet doctor if you have cancer. Trust your doctor and be prepared.
