What’s the TC for a Sr R&D Engineer / Sr Design Engineer at Intuitive surgical (or medtronic)? Asking for a friend. TC: 340k #intuitivesurgical #medtronic
Dogshit CGMs and insulin pumps from Medtronic tbh
Why you say that? I was considering to join the team
I would say that the base is between 140-180K for Sr. R&D Engineer depending on your negotiation skills. Bonus is 15% fixed. ESPP 2 year lock which is pretty good. Initial Grant: Probably 150 - 200K RSUs (4 yr vest) Refreshers: 100 - 120K RSUs (4 Yr Vest)
It’s blowing off typical medical device companies away. Sustainable 300k when fully vested in my calculation.
How much are RSU refresher every year for software engineer at Intuitive. For L4 and L5 level?
Joined recently as a sr electrical engineer with base/bonus/rsu/sign on at 180k/15%/180k(4 years)/15k. TC for software roles are about 15 to 20% higher I think.
What is your YoE and annual refresher look like?
Thanks for the update!
Increasing regulatory hurdles and the brainless fools(mostly) in RA/QA are killing medical device. Generally, TC for Sr. R&D role might be around 150k base plus maybe 15% bonus at most plus trivial stock. It is very unlikely to expect much more than this at Medtronic. I too am very curious about Intuitive. While I can't directly answer your question maybe my generic reply will give a bump to your post so someone more qualified may see it.
Thanks, it’s not easy to find info regarding RSUs and comp for these professions. I guess some data for PMs could also help to get a ballpark. I was wondering if these companies give something around 100-300k RSUs.
