UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group (previously Ultimate Software + Kronos)) just laid off around 100 people without notice. We have over 1k active job postings and didn't even give them the option to change roles/orgs. People range from being with the company from 3 months to over 18 years. The excuse was "their role was redundant". Seems like they were given 9 weeks severance. No communication from management yet. So much for "Our Purpose Is People"... #UKG #layoffs
I remember cold texting 7-8 people on LinkedIn just to get a referral but still no one referred 🤣
For UKG?
I read it’s one of the best companies to work for. Second to Cisco. In Fortune 100 list
RIP UKG 😂
My partner turned down a Kronos role about five years ago because the company seemed disorganized and mismanaged. I guess his intuition was correct.
Their intuition was right about Kronos. Ultimate software was a great company before we got merged and taken over by those shitters
I agree with poopooman. Ultimate was such a great place before the merger. Ultimate went thru some tough times before the merger but they never laid off anyone. I can't believe they didn't try to transition those roles to other teams are still hiring. Just remember that most of the executives that remain are from Kronos and they are not what I would call good leadership.
Are these U.S. based positions, or in Noida?
Hearing Noida effected too
There’s an all hands meeting today with the CTO. No way he takes questions because of these layoffs. They already stopped taking questions in chat so no one can see what other employees are asking. Our c-suite is allergic to accountability.
💀🫡
Zero mention of the layoffs as well for the record. Embarrassing.
Time to grind Leetcode UKG bros
The CTO (Machado) did a video yesterday. He was called out for the layoffs in Slack and did a video response and in the first minute he insulted everybody that was worried about their jobs.
I was one of the ones affected by the layoffs.I guess it doesn't surprise me as I remember in one of the org meetings with Machado someone asked a question about benefits after ther merger, and he got pissed, and yelled if you don't like it then leave. They announced restructuring the teams and my orgs director on 6/17 held a meeting with his whole org and assured everyone that their jobs were safe and there would be no layoffs. 6/23 and I get called in a meeting and hes there with HR laying me off. My working theory is from what I can gather is Managers were asked to compile a list of team members that are ready to move to a SRE role, Higher ups took that list and what it meant was that since they are ready to move to another role it meant that the team didn't really need them and everyone that was suggested to move to the promo positions got booted. As far as I know Noida people were affected and people who have been there for 10+, 20+ years were all laid off. Most likely almost all of them legacy U
Legacy U didn't really have a Noida presence
noida people that were affected were a small percentage vs the US positions
What roles were impacted?
Seems to be mainly Cloud Engineers/Managers so far
