Looking to buy a house in the Eastside. Good houses in Seattle, Kirkland are way over budget. Considering Bothell or Redmond Ridge. We like sunny houses(I know Seattle right) and good schools. Heard that commute is almost similar to both these places. #housing #Eastside #Seattle TC: 272 (160 + RSU). Any thoughts on which place is better?
98052 if you don’t want the commute of 98053
I’ve lived in both areas - RR then Bothell. Redmond Ridge is better IMO but that’s based on commute to Microsoft
I’m in 98012 just south of Mill Creek and like the area a lot. If you’re looking for older, unique houses with lots of character then I’d lean towards Bothell. For newer construction Redmond Ridge is probably better. Both have excellent parks! Do you have a commute?
I’m full WFH now, but my commute was about 1 hour via bus when I was working in downtown Seattle.
Lived there too! But I didn't work locally. I travelled or worked remote. Then I decided to work locally and moved to 98033 (S. Kirkland). Got super lucky with an off market purchase.
Who compares Bothell with Redmond ridge. That’s like comparing 100k tc with 350k.
Bothell for sure. Redmond Ridge is very cookie clutter houses with small backyards. Also I don't know if this matters to you but RR has a lot of Indian population. Its not a pro or a con but just a fact to know before you move into the neighborhood. Bothell has relatively bigger houses for the same price and newer built.
98053 if you can afford it.
