Hi, I got initial verbal offer from Google as below: Base: 50L Bonus: 15% Joining RSU: $120k this is pretty low ball as initial offer which I declined. My current: YOE: 18 TC: $300K + base + bonus Anyone got recently into L5? What TC you got? #google #L5 #compensation #indiasalary
Check levels.fyi for your location and years of exp. They have almost accurate data. In India the HR team always takes the previous salary and comes up with some weird comp ratio. Ask the recruiter if they can put you in an average comp ratio. (Don't worry about it, you can fix it by jumping to higher TC after 1yr or now accept the offer, get a higher offer from another company and negotiate)
Google India doesn't ask for your comp history.
OP can confirm, i know even Microsoft asks. I don't know any company in India that doesn't ask previous/ current payslip.
So in India, your TC is 300K i.e. 2cr?
Are you in Engineering? Honestly, this offer is shit. For L5 I'd expect around 80 base, a decent bonus and about 250k$ in stock over 4 years
You have no idea about salary bands do you
Internal bands, no Bands for external hires, based on offers my friends and I have received in the past, yes, I do.
Is the Rsu for 4 years
You should ask for 60L base, 5-7L sign-on, 200-220k RSUs (over 4 years). A friend got a similar offer a few months back.
Which vesting schedule though? Maybe this is the difference..
Thanks, how much refresher per year 1 can expect for L5 silicon team?
15% bouns i feel less. For senior level it needs to be 20 or 25%. Negotiate in bouns % also.
How long in Broadcom ? Why leaving Broadcom ?
Why are you switching dude? Broadcom is doing well.!!
My Cognizant CTC was 50L all cash at Senior Manager level. After promotion I would have easily reached 60L all cash. Tier 2 City, not Bangalore. Now I feel it was too good. Even Google is giving such low offers nowadays. :-(
At what yoe did cognizant offered 50L??
Nope, India only. Yes you can.
Is your current TC accurate?
