I do tech screens at Google. AMA
I did it. Phone screen with recruiter. First interview was "tell me what happens when you type google.com in your browser". Really open ended and lead down a bunch of different paths. Virtual on site. Two technical rounds. For some reason both focused on my SQL abilities. Very strange. One behavioral round with a manager. Things like how you resolved a certain difficult situation. What are some key metrics to determine success of a product. Normal stuff. Then one leetcode round. To be honest my question is probably pretty easy but I freaking failed. It was basically diff a string and tell the position where a letter was added, changed, deleted. I didn't get a good feel for what the role would actually be from the interview. I feel like they just want to see if you are technical enough and then they think you can do any TSC role. Good luck!
So you got the offer or not?
I didn't. Not sure about OP.
