Not sure about the NY teams but do not join ads in Seattle or anywhere else. As someone who has worked externally with that team, it is utter shitshow org with psychopath managers

Ads is a huge org so I wouldn’t generalize it. Can you be specific on the team in NY? That may be more useful to getting feedback. I work in Ads org and personally love it. Low on call load, great wlb, etc. I’m sure there are psychopath managers and bad teams like with any org.
Ads has a disproportionate amount
For someone who’s never even worked in the org, it’s hard to believe you’re qualified to state that. But sure, you’re entitled to your opinion.
A guy I know works for that team and he seems to really like it there. He recently told me his team has been hiring like crazy tripled in size in the past two months
