People are happy there

I interviewed there a few months ago, the EM I spoke to before my onsite mentioned that people like to work weekends and evenings to get ahead. Needless to say I did not bother with onsites.

Is this not true elsewhere? There're a bunch of ambitious folks at my employer that work at all times. Which luckily does not skew the wlb for the rest.

Sure, but if you ask how the wlb is in an interview and their answer is that people like to work weekends and evenings, what does that say?

We’re competing against cloud native solutions I find it hard to believe anybody expecting there not to be tight deadlines and crunch to some extent

It’s crunchtime all the time. A lot of people are truly burnt out. I heard the amsterdam office is better though

I thought data bricks was already cloud native

I think cloud native in this context means competition from the cloud providers themselves (AWS).
