I had a phone interview with Wells Fargo today and they were asking terminology that came out like 2 years ago but asking for 5 years of experience. makes me wonder... how strict are they about the experience requirements? they are asking for 10 years for a mid level role... who’s hiring for these roles? #wellsfargo #career
Not that strict as long as the experience you have is compelling.
What is the job req? If your resume does not MIRROR the Required Qualifications section do not even count on getting hired. I would also include stuff from the Desired section in your resume. When applying at Wells you have to tailor your resume for each and every job application. Has to include ALL keywords they have in the job description. Your resume is a marketing tool and no one is going to call your previous employers and ask if you worked on Technology XYZ. Put it in your resume, read up on the topic before your interview and b.s. your way through it honestly.
I appreciate the insight. Just got a reply email that they want to do a panel interview with the VP and couple other more. It’s for an ISE6 role not sure how high that is internally. Looking forward to it.
Very strict. If anything, they veil want even more and pay less. Welcome to the new reality - It's going to suck to be an engineer again.
