Weight loss is as simple as eating less calories than you’re burning. Keep track of your caloric intake. I’m betting if you’re not losing weight then you’re eating something high in calories

This this this this. Something 'small' like a candy bar might be a 1/5th of your daily caloric allotment for the day. Believe me, until you document it all out in an excel sheet, you're not realizing all the calories you're eating. Meal timing is important too, as is proper quantity of sleep.

This is not completely true. Lowering your caloric intake, by eating less will likely result in your metabolism slowing way down. Meaning when you do eat your body will process your calories slower and attempt to store fat whenever it can, so the moment you have a cheat meal you are back to square one. Best way is to lower your caloric intake to a safe level for your body but eat a healthy portion of food 3-5 times a day. Means substituting high calorie for low calorie substitute. Get ample protein, don't avoid good fats they actually help you loose weight and sorry you probably need to exercise to boost your metabolism and burn excess calories.

Cut sugar and all simple carbs (bread, pasta etc). It will lower your insulin so that your body can access fat storage for fuel and burn that before looking for muscle or glucose to burn. Move to protein and veggies with limited dairy only. I dropped 45 lbs in a few months. Only thing that’s ever been effective for me.

Agree with this. Based on my personal experience: I don't have to go all the way to low-carb or keto, but sugars/starches are not compatible with a lean body for me, period.

Maybe your metabolism is very low that even if u eat less you burn less. You need to increase your physical activity and reduce your food intake.

Cisco Mylady Jan 6, 2018

If his metabolism is already slow eating less might only make it worse. There is a RMR testing available to find out what your real baseline is.

Keto is great but not sustainable long term. Find a long term healthier solution.

Tennis, basketball, volleyball, sex. So many fun ways to lose weight.

If you don't like working out, you could try to find a physical activity that you enjoy, ideally something that might help you build lean muscle. Whether you are male or female, this helps you burn calories. Also keep in mind your metabolism will only get slower as you age, so exercise of some sort to stay healthy and lose weight and maintain that weight is inevitable. I'm someone who's lost 50+ pounds and kept the weight off for several years. Willing to give more tips of you like but, pretty much taking others advice of cutting down carbohydrates and sugars plus regular activity should give you initial results if you commit to it.
