I have an EV kia Niro and it's a great little car. I'm 6'3 and I fit easily in it, along with dog/wife/baby. It handles well in traffic. Plenty of features. And importantantly: it's a non-Tesla EV.
Great! Hope long have you owned it? Any major cons?
Tires it came with are absolute garbage. It's a fairly heavy car, with a ton of torque and it's super easy to spin the front wheels. I can't wait till I replace the tires with some great ones I'll choose Aside from that, nope, it's stood up to some real abuse from a young family. Running costs very low. In 30k miles - just routine breaks, suspension checks and air cabin. The Niro is a bit unrefined as it comes in an electric, hybrid and gas. It's not as refined as it's all electric EV6 bigger more expensive brother. Driving an EV6 is like the starship enterprise and the Niro is a basic, ordinary car in comparison. And I'm fine with that.
Metamates are rolling in 💵💵💵 Why the f you want a Kia?
I’m close to buying one too. Cross shopping with Kona electric. Test drove them and Both are more similar than different, but Hyundai dealer is offering way more discount. Seattle metro area. Price shopping right now. Any real data points on out the door? Wondering how much lower they’ll go. Lot of inventory
If you are looking to EVs - Niro has a cold weather kit for the battery. The EV Kona suffers in winter, it's the "hot climate" car.
Yes considering ev only. 24 Kona ev has heat pump built in and is a full redesign. For niro , in your experience is the range low even with the cold weather kit?
buy it
