interviewed at fb, packet going to hiring committee

what are the chances of hiring committee rejecting? this is for EM, M1 i want to know the max pay offered for M1 because my msft rsus have increased quite a bit and i am not sure i can get a 20% jump in switching companies. anyone got more than 700k for fb em m1?

Facebook higsdf Jul 30, 2020

you're not getting 700k for M1. 550 would be good.

LinkedIn wqshay OP Jul 30, 2020

I see thanks i am making about 650k now as em at linkedin. I was hoping for some bump, do you know the max? Also can hc disapprove as well?

Microsoft fact_check Aug 6, 2020

@OP, stay at LI, better for everybody, you seem like the kind driven greed and income rather than loving what you do. Wtf dude!

Facebook EUwnsj7 Jul 30, 2020

I'm an M2. You have 0 chance of even getting a matching offer. For managers, we almost never go out of band and the comp committee has been lowering offers recently. Your comp is well into the M2 band. Aim for 550k and 100k signing.

Qualcomm cyxI25 Jul 30, 2020

Hey FB!! Can I dm? Need a small help?

LinkedIn wqshay OP Jul 30, 2020

Thats 650k tc. I was talking about total comp. is it possible to go for 600k with 100k sign on or 550 with 150k sign on? Thanks for your inputs. Want to see what i can get the best considering my comp has gone up it wouldnt make sense to join with no increase at all. I was hoping for at least 50k bump

Uber Hofy06 Jul 30, 2020

What, I thought E5 could get 700K RSU. Is M1 lower?

LinkedIn wqshay OP Jul 30, 2020

Do u mean 4year rsu? Here i am talking about total comp per year

Uber Hofy06 Jul 30, 2020

I was. Oh okay wow managers make so much money then.

LinkedIn wqshay OP Jul 30, 2020

Folks what do you think about this info on levels fyi

Apple zyupescv Jul 30, 2020

Outliers! Plus the data you are looking at is for an IC E6 not an M1

Facebook tgjolpewqv Jul 30, 2020

Also these are ML/AI offers, that for some reason are highet. Typical m1 offer is 230-250 base + 500-800 stocks + negotiable sign on

😂

Salesforce hUIv37 Aug 4, 2020

Op did you hear back?

LinkedIn wqshay OP Aug 4, 2020

Hiring committee approved, they said to provide other company offers before they take it to comp team so that they can give a competitive comp

Salesforce hUIv37 Aug 4, 2020

Great! Why not give current comp. do you have any competing offers that beat your current comp. I doubt so

LinkedIn wqshay OP Aug 4, 2020

They take it more seriously if there are multiple datapoints with same comp. there are few companies that can bring it to my current comp but not more

Microsoft fact_check Aug 6, 2020

@OP, managers from fb are telling you what to expect and all you care about is “the max tc you can get”. Stop being fucking greedy. If you like the team and happy with the offer, take it, otherwise, leave it.

Facebook Oculus1 Aug 6, 2020

Since the OP can’t read or listen, not sure we want him. MSFT can keep him

Microsoft fact_check Aug 6, 2020

Definitely agree!

Workday RJwi55 Aug 7, 2020

What’s your yoe? Total and as manager

LinkedIn wqshay OP Aug 13, 2020

Yoe total 8.5 years

NVIDIA dmdmdms Aug 9, 2020

What’s an average M1 offer for FB and how many year of management experience required?

LinkedIn wqshay OP Aug 9, 2020

M1 avg not sure first offer is 1.2M, 245k base and 100k sign on. They said base is top of line i think i can negotiate on rsus

Mixpanel P8R Oct 1, 2020

Did you take the offer? What was the final numbers
