He’s been trying to get out of this deal for a while. I don’t condone how he severed the ties, but I personally think he knew exactly what his words would lead too.
This is actually a great case study of why cancel culture is bad for a society. It has pushed this guy to more extreme and nonsensical views. However, when a sensible person sits down and talks to him, humanizes him, listens, and intelligently pushes back on his dumb ideas, he actually starts coming back from the brink as you can see in his interview with Lex.

The Right loves tokens though. I even suckered people into regularly sending me money just to pretend to be a token for them. It worked for Candace Owens. @Twitter: How is it not about domestic politics? Okay, yes, he has mental health issues but the Right now loves Kanye because he's and Candace Owens are playing tokens for them. This is not to say, of course, there aren't actually conservative Black people. There are a lot of them (nearly married one). The average Black American is probably more conservative than the average white American. But Candace Owens, Kanye West, and "Diamond and Silk", etc. are not conservative Black people. They are Black entertainers for conservative white audiences.
