Facebook work life balance question

So I started the process of interviewing for a product design role at FB. I'm at the app critique portion where I show some work and critique an app on the call. I have yet to put my work together. I'm wondering if it's really worth it. I've heard really terrible things about FB working the life out of you, basically no work life balance you're just seriously grinding for the money. Is that true? Does it change team to team or between say what'sapp to Instagram? I hear there are quarterly evaluations where you have to basically try not to get fired. Let me know please!
