Board approved 500 mil stock back. A not yet profitable company buying back it's own stock instead of invest in new revenue stream. Paying investor with other investors money. Aka Ponzi scheme, lol

Snap has seen some crazy swings with its stock the last 6 months. Didn’t they have like a 40% drop one day, then a 30% gain another day within 2 months? Now this. Jesus I’m glad I never made it past the hiring manager exploratory call after applying for pm role there back in April.

Why do companies buy back stocks? Increase their earnings per share?

Amazon iqmy00 Jul 21, 2022

They pay a lot in RSUs. More shares they own less they potentially have to dilute down the road. Also they can use shares for acquisitions.
