DoorDash stock sinks to less than half of ATH before Q1 earnings
Was trading at $110 (market cap ~$35b) yday after trading above $256 in late February. Thoughts?

Doesn’t seem like a good reopening trade. Will restaurants want to pay such heft fees for delivery when people return to dining in? Skeptical. Then there’s the competition.
Restaurants are already dropping DD, and the fees are already quite high. They claim to be making a white label logistics play though, not sure where that will take them

Most people I know are ditching DoorDash now that the economy is opening up. My friend said she paid $25 for a salad the other day, and that was the straw that broke the camels back. Hey, who knew that picking up your own food is quite easy, eh?

Lol everyone here says they are ditching DD meanwhile their earnings keep showing they are making more money every quarter and investors brought up the stock 8% after hours. I wonder who to believe.
That was Q1 ER sir. The first couple months of the year was quite bad covid cases wise, and many major cities were shutdown. Also, it was pre-vaccine when a large chunk of people were afraid to leave their homes. My parents are eating out again, not giving a shit about delivered boxed food.
Just wait for Q2 and Q3 ER 🍿

Went to a District Taco today. They had a sign up looking to hire drivers. Wonder how many chains will do this post-pandemic?
You do realize that we work with many places that do their own deliveries right ? And do white label sites and pickup only ? A store can engage with us in any way and mix of ways they want…. They can even use DoorDash for delivery in the morning and their people at the evening if they want …
