I love ASM, I find it really intuitive, been really enjoying Arm 64 optimizing around the gravitons. I have found others do not like me writing 80% of my software in ASM despite documenting it thoroughly AND I ALWAYS WRITE AN X86 VARIANT. I just don’t get it, how could someone ever prefer some pile of shit like javascript over ASM? I also am not a systems engineer, pretty standard full stack dev.
Why?
I find it easier actually, it really doesn’t take much time when you know the mnemonics by heart, in terms of sec, I am very aware, really isn’t difficult to interface w/ the kernel for mem locking and such. Getting multi platform support isn’t too difficult, you just have to know your architectures. People always say stuff like this it is so annoying
You must hate being paid so little in comparison to them Javascript programmers
Sure, I do now, but I had enough to retire before pivoting from ML to full stack. (Inference optimization)
