i see tech managers either poaching or stalking engineers on blind. there are other places like linkedin or glassdoor for doing that, blind is a private space for engineers to discuss about career progressions and their issues, so leave it that way.#wlb #officelife#
Managers can provide insights about career progressions, because they have teams and would know the rules for their company and may have more experience. Poaching is not a bad thing from an employee perspective. They aren't going to successfully poach for something lower. Blind also has relationships topics, immigration, politics, etc.
Boohoo, sorry your manager sux.
Personally I find blind the best place for tech managers to get an honest idea of what frustrations their reports might go through that would not be easily communicated in a 1-on-1. Also poaching is w/e — at the end of the day its on the person getting hired if they wanna join. So how many people on your team have been poached?
I also see people complaining about tipping practices, relationship problems, and medical issues. What’s your point?
in what way a manager can help fix these issues!
I never said they could
I see individual contributors either asking for Total compensation or team advice on blind. There are other places like Paysa or Glassdoor for doing that. Blind is a private space for managers to poach or stalk engineers, so leave it that way. #TCorGTFO #WLBisMyth
Who wants to poach someone from hotwire
I see people finding referrals on blind, so managers poaching should not be a problem.
