do you keep your linkedin premium even when not job searching. ive seen my colleagues leaving it on so theyre on the constant lookout for a better offer.
What is the most valuable feature of premium?
No
I’m guessing you just interviewed for the robinhood gig and you just got it then
I don’t know how to turn it off
Don’t waste your money on Premium.
Why not lol I’m guessing it doesn’t help as much as advertised
Nope I have premium only when they offer it for free for a month occasionally
How often do you get the premium promos? Do you see a difference in using it and not?
Hmm I haven't kept track but fairly often enough where when I was job searching, I had it available haha. I just got the offer again, two days ago. I personally haven't seen much difference tbh.
Did not have premium, have been approached by Facebook, Google and likes . I still don't understand what's the point of premium for anyone except people trying to do sales and bd.
What’s your position at google? And what positions were they reaching out for?
Any LinkedIn effort only truly pays off after a few months. Takes a while to warm up, so if you can afford it, best leave it on imo.
Did you see a spike it recruiters reaching out after putting it on a while?
Yes. Not a steep curve, but steady. Also more interesting connections overall. First time tier 1 headhunters showed interest. Heidrick & Struggles started introducing me to firms.
Make sure you keep open on, it defaults off after a month I think . I’ve gotten all my roles from recruiters finding me on LinkedIn.
Have keeping it on you think made it easier for recruiters to find you
Yeah, how do you get recruiters to reach out? This is starting to feel like tinder
Premium was not necessary for me. I was reached out and hired via LinkedIn without any Premium subscription, and out of the blue.
Who and which firm reached out to you? Do you get a lot of those
I was reached out by Fb, Amazon, and Snap. I also had that “Open for opportunity” checked. I have had a fair share of reach from Microsoft, Twitter, Palantir, digital ocean, etc in the past besides the above. About the frequency, I see one reach out each month on average.
