Google Cloud/Mandiant

Hi, if someone ends up joining the Mandiant division of Google, can they later cross over into Google Cloud or Google's broader Security Engineering team? how does the internal mobility look like over there? #Google #Mandiant #Mobility

I think Mandiants just an org under cloud so I don’t see why not. Team transfers are still practically frozen besides backfills for software rn, especially anything below L6.

That doesn’t matter to me. There is a mandiant/google type job i was thinking of taking but eventually to make a pivot. Any way to confirm whether such can be done for sure?

No

Mandiant is fully integrated into Google (part of Cloud). Normal internal mobility applies.

And interview process is basically the same as for google?

Would you be open to granting a referral to Google/Mandiant?

I was hired ~3-months ago for a Mandiant role and went through the official Google hiring process. I was told I could move around anywhere within Google, it’s actually encouraged.

So a lot of Mandiant roles are listed as being remote. Can someone voluntarily choose to be in office? And if so, are there other Mandiant teammates who do work in an office? Also — is there any travel component for Mandiant people who work in assisting customers? Job listings usually didn’t say

These are all great questions for the recruiter. I just interviewed for a few ISE roles including that one and it seemed like they were all remote or based out of Seattle
