Offer evaluation
Got two data scientist offers. Gopuff is pre IPO, so rsu might not materialize at current evaluation which is 15B. Also, not sure when does the company goes public. How’s WLB and layoffs situation at Gopuff ?
Offers are equivalent in cash so no risk there, if the team was good, you like the manager, and are excited about working at a larger startup it seems like a no brainer with a roll of the dice on the equity. You would probably learn a lot more than at salesforce. Salesforce probably has better wlb. Depends what you care more about
Thank you! Good points. RSUs won’t be worth as much once it goes public. I’m also concerned about the layoff situation and WLB.

Look at other delivery apps. You’d be lucky if that 225k/y in equity turns out to be 40k… Also bonus won’t be what was promised… Take anything besides base with a grain of salt

Most of the interviews were focused on past projects and alignment with the role's requirements. Onsite had ML depth, science breath ( Experimentation) and coding round where I was asked to implement an ML algo from scratch then LC medium SQL question. Nothing extraordinary.
Go with Gopuff. I’ve heard bad things about Salesforce, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near the company with how toxic the CEO is. Best of luck! TC: 105K

Just put the RSU as basically nonexistent for GoPuff. But the cash alone for GoPuff is greater than your Salesforce offer. For that reason, go GoPuff.
