As title suggests why is meta not pulling in other streams. Is it failing that bad ? Every other company has more than 2 major streams. what’s happening meta ? https://www.visualcapitalist.com/how-big-tech-makes-their-billions-2022/ #meta #facebook #instagram #whatsapp #money #revenuewell
If only they pursued creating some sort of virtual reality world or something
Well that is a money burner. Still need time to make money. I am referring to backbone earners.
Maybe they can start selling off brand ski gear on the weekend for some good old passive income!!!
Mark should start his own onlyfans account to diversify
Ha ha. Or buy any social media that can make him some money
You laugh but the you can now pay to subscribe to instagram accounts to access extra ‘content’
Is it the lack of ideas 💡? Amazon made AWS work. Microsoft made Azure. Google made YouTube
Google bought youtube
Well it is making money and google also has play store cloud ☁️ which are marking money
No one wants to use the Facebook platform as the backbone of accessing services. People trust Apple and Google for that. Even though Google diversified and draws in revenue from different places, Google still lacks a unified subscription service. It’s about $510 a year to subscribe to all of Googles consumer services. $20 Google One $160 YouTube premium $30 Play pass $300 Nest Aware This doesn’t even count Google Fi, Google premium assistance, et cetera. There’s the pixel pass but that only covers about 60% of the above. Google needs to simply have an iCloud / prime subscription that doesn’t feel like 8 companies competing for time. Facebook/meta image and trust is so unfortunately tarnished that no one is going to purchase or use anything from them.
Also, Google really needs to clamp down on the play store. The ads are all misleading, the store is overwhelming full of pay-to-play applications that aren’t good and there’s just straight up scams.
Google does all crap but are smart enough to evade the consequences. It went throughout its share of privacy and trust issues but are silently worked under the table. As a matter of fact most of these companies have huge lawyer teams to clean up crap. Meta just was unfortunate to be in front of the line.
Sounds like a meta question.
Yup. Waiting for people to pour in
Fck how did we never think of that?? Calling up Mark right now. This should get me a VP position at least!
You must have been a real looser and ideas must be so shitty. Hence the reason for seeing huge losses. Your all eggs 🥚 in the basket are getting cooked. Call him up
Yeah thank you kind sir/madam. I will blatantly plagiarize you and get a fat promo. That’s how we do things here!
Meh, the ads segment just isn’t broken down like the other companies revenue sources are. It’s like saying Apples only revenue stream is devices, or Fords only revenue stream is cars.
Okay. Isn’t the end result rendering ads and make money 💰
Sure, if you want to reduce your argument to truism. Meta could expand beyond the ads segment and into the devices segment. They’re trying, but it’s been a rough go. Ads is a diverse segment and I think Meta is well diversified within it (many ad channels with different target markets and different ad purchasers).
