The Associated Press - en Español: Demand for grocery delivery cools as food costs rise. https://apnews.com/article/grocery-delivery-service-demands-fall-d22c5424c235386ead5f344009540c4b
As a customer, it’s gotten so much more expensive, I hardly use it anymore. While during the pandemic, it was 90% of my groceries
Me too I have switched to pick up on store on Amazon and some stores in Instacart
All these companies (Instacart, uber, lyft, etc) throw in a bunch of offers and heavy discounts during initial phases of the company to attract users and please investors. So they find out that they still need to pay for all the compute costs and humans (employees and workers). Then they start increasing prices and push it to customers. Customers are unhappy and leave. Ultimately the company has not solved any problems that they intended to solve.
