i got an offer on a backend team in nvidia as a SWE but they are giving me ic4 and i have 15 years of experience and i didnt do well in 1 round, but had another extra round which went well, also the manager met me after an offer proposal by hr and wanted me to consider ic4 i am pushing for ic5.#tech #nvidiacareers what should I do? should just push for it and not compromise base 230 stock 400k/4

15 yrs and 330 TC in Bay Area seems a lowball to me. Should be 450+ to make it worth the jump. Also N has probably 2 more quarters of growth before the bubble bursts, so it’s not unlimited upside imho

OP, I received a similar offer from NVDA a couple of weeks ago. Have 16+ yoe. HM was raving about the stock and the potential to multiply many fold in the coming years. Didn't sound right. Also, they were not ready to compensate for the non vested RSUs that I would be giving up in my current workplace up until the NVDA RSUs start vesting. I guess I wasn't their first choice. Numbers didn't work for me and had to decline.

in my case they could have rejected me for not clearing one round of coding, they re setup the round again and i was able to crack it. i dont understand why they didnt just reject me.
