I recently received a verbal confirmation from Google. Team matching is going on for Munich and Warsaw locations. Haven't seen many positive reviews for these locations. So I'm a little sceptical about the work. I am looking out for other better options. I am open for SWE/MLE/Data Science roles. Haven't heard good reviews for Munich? That's insane. Check the cities with highest Quality of Living standards in the world.
I was talking about Google's pay and quality of work you get to do at Google Munich. Not specifically about city .
Google Warsaw's pay is peanuts from what I've heard. In London, you have HFTs, Bloomberg, Amazon, Stripe, Snap, Plaid. All should be able to beat Warsaw comp atleast. As for Munich comp, I'm not sure. There's Plaid and Databricks in Amsterdam also you can try there
Only Amazon can beat Google offer but mostly at L+1 level. Poland is like different world so need to think before moving. Germany good life & WLB but local language can create a challenge for you. Try Amazon Cambridge or London, they pay 165-210K for data scientist.
Ā£210K? That doesn't seem right, must be $. Also what level are you talking about?
Since 2022 Amazon has started giving above 175K to L6 Data scientist. (155-185K for L6 SDEs). I have personally seen a data scientist in London getting 185K. However same role is Cambridge gets 25-35K lesser than London. SDEs still takes the highest bracket among other tech roles.
Come to Munich Google has good presence there

Google Munich is a wonderful office. I have been there multiple times before pandemic for different events. Always enjoyed connecting with folks there. See if you can get into android auto team there. It works closely with German automobile sector. I reckon the segment is going to have some serious investment after Appleās announcement

Databricks will beat almost all tech in eu based on TC (Meta might be more) but you'd be receiving RSUs at 38b eval and it's upto you to decide how much it's worth in the current market. HFTs tend to pay the highest but they're also pretty hard to get into.

I guess only Uber & Amazon could beat Google comp. Other options are Databricks, Adyen, Booking, Spotify etc..
Btw, did u specifically apply for those locations or recruiter from those locations reached out? Google recruiter reached out to me for Blore & I stupidly asked if I could be considered for other locations also. No response from recruiter after that since 2-3 weeks lmao
