Need some advice , I have an offer from Karma Automotive but unsure about the company. Their compensation isn’t amazing, more like average if not below average for a startup but location is in Irvine, CA 1. Does anyone have any experience with this company ? 2. Is it worth switching from a big OEM to a startup without equity given? 3. I love the location but debating if I should hold out for another opportunity that might be better. Any thoughts and advice . Thanks
If the TC isn't alot higher than your current TC and it's below comfortable living in CA then dont do it.
Exactly. If they aren't boosting your salary by 40%+ it's going to make life harder.
There is a boost in salary close to 40% but if i factor in the cost of living and the amount of hours that are needed to work since it is a startup, it seems the offer is somewhat below average since there is no equity.
Better than fca post merger
You won’t be able to buy a home for a while, and prepare to live with roommates
Any TC details. If you like the position maybe it could worth taking a risk. FCA are in condition these days
Is the company financially sustainable? Or is there any possibility of layoff/bankruptcy
lol karma went bankrupt once already
That was Fisker, the remains were bought by wanxiang group. There were some mass layoffs a few years ago but the company is stable now with some really cool projects
Never heard of it.
