That’s what I kind of got with almost same yoe. I do not think that a low ball offer

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

Did you have competitive offers too ?

Microsoft pVIH10 Feb 12, 2020

Nope .. interviews went well and hm liked me I think. When I said I am not going to take it he increased a bit more and said that’s the best they offered yet for my yoe I think it’s ic3 offer for me

It's a good offer and surely not low ball.

Microsoft isp1 Feb 12, 2020

Dude, 4.5 yoe? It’s a really good offer

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

Yes, I initially thought too as well. But levels.fyi and other folks I spoke to said that this is them lowballing. Wanted to confirm with folks out here.

I’d be more concerned that it’s oracle than the offer itself. The offer seems great for Seattle with just 4.5 yoe.

Salesforce sk22 Feb 12, 2020

Yes it’s a lowball. You should at least ask for 700k and a director of engineering title...

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

Thanks for confirming. Will get back to them with this range.

Microsoft 46 Feb 12, 2020

That seems good Your current TC is shit though

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

True. Hence asking folks here because a year ago this looked good to me until I got to know the reality.

I see greediness here nothing more. What is your expectations? 500k base and 500k rsu ? Go home now and cry about this comment and write another blind post.

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

Is it bad to be greedy if the company is willing to pay ? 🤔

Facebook gind Feb 12, 2020

That is an average IC3 offer. You should try for 300k. 330k would be the max limit.

Microsoft preachfor* OP Feb 12, 2020

Thanks for the range to look into. A follow up, will negotiations happen if I don’t have a competitive offer ? How tough will it be to steer them in a higher direction ?

Indeed rainwater Feb 12, 2020

OP, that's a pretty good offer. I think it will be hard to go over 300k for IC3, assuming that's the level you got. What is the base?

Microsoft ?!&7;🌂🐾🌲 Feb 13, 2020

Which team at OCI? IAM? Metering team? If your experiences are in an Azure team, you can negotiate hard.
