Would you return to India & FIRE
Currently a Junior. At Goldman Sachs, I’ll be working in the Wealth Management in the Dallas Office. TC: 90k Not sure which team I will be working on at Amazon since I just did the final round interviews and wanted to ask for advice if I get it. I am prioritizing resume value (prestige to recruiters) and the likelihood of a full time return offer. Any feedback is appreciated! #tech #goldmansachs #amazon
I’d encourage you to try to get something better than Amazon. If that’s not possible rn, Amazon > GS. It’s a good stepping stone. Good luck!
GS is better if you like finance and work in NYC office, and want to stay in the industry. Amazon is better in every other way. Actually thinking about it, in finance I'd rather hire someone with Amazon experience than GS.
Legacy tech stack , toxic managers, shit pay , long work hours and zero career growth for sde . Developers are second class citizens here, please stay away from Goldman Sachs
Exactly
For tech, Amazon for finance GS. Not too complicated.
Goldman is shitty. Even in finance, Amazon is respected more than Goldman.
GS is not like before, things are going downhill.
avoid non-tech companies until you’re going in at senior leadership levels that overpay tech people and where you don’t have to deal with their internal tech hands on
