My partner got offers from Ramp and Datadog for new grad. Which company is a better setting for beginning their career? Ramp seems to have a lot of smart people and fast promotions, but Datadog seems good as well. Ramp pays about 25k more than Datadog. I also hear great things about Datadogs work culture and fear that WLB at Ramp wont be great. Any thoughts are appreciated! #datadog #ramp #offers
Is ramp remote?
Depends on the team
Gotcha, thanks
Did your partner tell what the TC is?
They may grow more at Ramp
What are the offers? Tc, yoe?
Ramp tc is 195k and Datadog is 170k for new grad
I hear great things about ramp. They do work hard but people seem to enjoy it a lot. I’d personally take ramp over datadog fwiw.
ramp is where you want to be as a new grad
^almost all new grads i know were promoted before 1 yr mark
Datadog still has a good culture for the large company it’s becoming. You can’t go wrong with Datadog - it has tons of products and opportunities. New grad growth is not going to be one year but shouldn’t matter in the long term because you’ll be working on good problems and promotions are based on merit.
Ramp gives out titles and promos like candy. If you're looking for money then ramp is a better option. If you care about career growth through mentoring and actual valuable experience then datadog would be better.
Never heard of ramp fwiw
Competitor to Brex but valued at billions quicker than them.
Lol DoorDash could have just Googled
