FUCK LEETCODE
I got a New Grad offer for Schlumberger with Base 100k and bonus 18k over 2 yrs G10. I have 4 yrs of SDE experience prior to my Master's. Can I ask for a G12 and/or a higher TC? If so, what can I reasonably ask for? #schlumberger #offer
Used to work for SLB. Such a fucked up company full of assholes. Very little pay and horrible WLB.
Worked SLB outta college, get the fuck away from that company and run. Plus, only 109k TC for 4 yoe + masters? Get 3x TC from any other company. SLB sucks ass, seriously they do. Stock is pitiful too and industry is in turmoil with environmental pushes.
@mango95 I kind of put it in the mild way but more bluntly, Stonks117 put it in right perspective. Simply get the fuck away from that company. Please don’t do the mistake that I did by working for them.
I think you got your answer but I will add my opinion. STAY AWAY FROM THAT SHITHOLE!
If you still don't get it, coming from an SLB alumni, don't take the offer. Try anywhere else!
Having worked there for many years, I do not recommend it especially for new grad. You will be held down and your pay won’t progress. Their benefits are below average. The company has been in decline for years and is struggling to transition because the old guards are still in charge.
When you say “held down”, what exactly does that mean?
You will have very few opportunities to progress especially if you would like to move up the management ladder. It’s a very old school company run by boomers. Even after over a decade working there I did not feel I had a voice. We had round tables with VPs where I would express concerns and propose solutions. No one cared and they completely disregarded my application to higher grade Engineer. Also, as a US citizen working for expat managers, the managers have no understanding of the US job market and salaries. They get special allowances for travel and rent and more vacation days than us so you just can’t reason with them when asking for a raise. They give BS excuses. It was hopeless so I left.
This app maybe won't help so much - not really a big tech or finance thing. Good luck!
Do u mean blind is the wrong app? Any suggestions for where I could ask? Glassdoor wasn't much help either
Reddit perhaps?
