Got a Brivo offer. It’s around $115k base, and fully remote. Can anyone shed some insight on the culture, WLB, etc? Is it toxic? Are people friendly? There’s very very little info online, despite them having like 500 employees. Thanks Blind! Current TC: 0, was laid off in June. Before that, it was like $175k #brivo #tech #swe #wlb
The WLF depends on the team you’re getting into. I’ve been here total 5 years. I changed teams after getting into Brivo. The first team I was on, I worked nearly 10+ hours a day. The new team I’m on, I work 9-5 and I’m done.
What is to know? You’ve been unemployed for nearly 6 months and the best offer thus far comes with a 34% pay cut. Take the job and look for something better. If you haven’t gotten offer by now, recruiting takes a break for December / January as budgets are set, books are closed. You don’t take this role, it will likely be Feb or March till another comes around.
The money doesn’t concern me. I’m asking about the culture, WLB, etc. I have another offer that’s *significantly* higher, but it’s in-person rather than remote, would need to move across the country to work there, and it’s a place with infamously terrible/hellish work life balance (Anduril) So that’s why I’m leaning towards Brivo. I wanted to make sure it’s a good environment though before pulling the trigger. No need to be a jerk.
